My approach to psychotherapy is to help the client to know her or his deepest belief systems and to recognize which of
these help or hinder one in becoming one's true self. Together we look at how one feels about self, relationships and the
impact of culture and society. I help my clients to gain a deeper understanding and acceptance of one's self and to develop
the tools to deal with difficulties and to live life more fully and joyfully.
My techniques involve recognizing the person as a whole. I see my role as a mirror as I reflect that person's journey toward
integration of Body, Mind and Spirit. My experiences with many disciplines allow me to tailor sessions to individual needs.
GRIEF AND BEREAVEMENT COUNSELING:
Loss is part of life. While it is a very difficult part of life, it also can be a very rich time in one's life, providing opportunities for
extraordinary growth. Loss can include life threatening illness, death and dying, death of a pet, separation, divorce, chronic
illness and/or aging.
While the stages of dying discovered by Elisabeth Kubler-Ross are universal, grief and bereavement are also very personal
journeys. I work with my clients to navigate through this difficult time in their lives.
